Saturn Vue High Output Alternators

Saturn Vue owners put their compact SUVs to work on camping weekends, ski trips and dirt roads to the trailhead, often adding auxiliary lights and a cooler along the way. This Saturn Vue high output alternator collection lists two Mechman units, 240 Amp and 320 Amp, for the 2002-2007 2.2L Ecotec and the 2008-2009 2.4L.

Four-Cylinder Vue, Weekend Loads

A Vue set up for adventure might carry a roof rack with a light bar, a 12V cooler in the cargo area, a phone and GPS on the dash, and an upgraded stereo for the long drive. On a four-cylinder, all of that runs from a modest factory charging system, and slow trail speeds mean the alternator spends much of its time at low output. A Saturn Vue high output alternator adds the capacity to run accessories without draining the battery before camp.

The 240 Amp unit suits lighting, a cooler and device charging. The 320 Amp unit is the step for an amplifier and subwoofer on top of the outdoor gear, or for a dual-battery setup. Both are Mechman high output alternators from the GM Ecotec series shared with the Saturn Ion and the Chevrolet HHR.

The listing covers four-cylinder models: the 2.2L Ecotec from 2002-2007 and the 2.4L from 2008-2009. V6 Vues are not part of this selection, so confirm your year and engine in the vehicle finder above the products.

A second battery from our batteries collection pairs well with camping loads, and more fitments are on the Saturn alternators page.
