Your Privacy Choices

California and several other states give you the right to tell us not to sell or share your personal information for advertising. This page is where you do that, and the choice takes effect the moment you make it.

Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information

When advertising technologies are active on this website, we disclose online identifiers, cookie identifiers, your IP address and information about the pages and products you viewed to Google LLC, for advertising measurement and for the creation of advertising audiences. We receive no money for those disclosures. California law does not require that we do: under Civil Code sections 1798.140(ad) and 1798.140(ah) those disclosures are a sale and a share regardless, and we treat them as such.

You can stop them here. No account, no sign-in, and no verification of your identity is required.

Checking your current setting…

One moment — we are reading the preference stored for this browser.

What this setting does, and what it does not do

It does:

  • Stop advertising cookies and identifiers being set or read on this site.
  • Stop the disclosure of your browsing on this site to Google for advertising measurement and audience building.
  • Switch Google’s restricted data processing on, so that any data already associated with this browser is not used for personalized advertising.

It does not:

  • Stop the cookies the store needs to work — the cart, checkout, sign-in, fraud prevention and security. Those are strictly necessary and are not affected by any opt-out.
  • Stop us measuring how the site as a whole is used. That is a business purpose under Civil Code section 1798.140(e) and is not a sale or a share. If you want that switched off as well, use Cookie preferences.
  • Reduce what you can buy, what you pay, or the service you receive. Civil Code section 1798.125 forbids us from discriminating against you for exercising this right, and we do not.
  • Stop you seeing advertising. It stops advertising that is targeted using information gathered from this site.

The limits of a browser-based opt-out

A choice made here is stored in this browser, on this device. If you clear your cookies, switch to a different browser, or use a different device, you will need to make the choice again. That limitation is inherent in every browser-based opt-out mechanism and we state it rather than leave you to discover it. If you would prefer a record that does not depend on a cookie, write to us using the details below and we will apply the opt-out to any account associated with your email address.

Opt-out preference signals

This site detects and honours the Global Privacy Control signal. If your browser or an extension sends it, we treat it as a valid request to opt out of the sale and sharing of personal information for that browser and device, without any further step by you. Where the signal can be associated with an account, we apply the election to that account as well.

We do not respond to the Do Not Track header, because no uniform standard governs how it should be interpreted. That disclosure is made under California Business and Professions Code section 22575(b)(5). Global Privacy Control is different, and we do honour it.

Your other rights

Opting out of sale and sharing is one of several rights you hold. The others are set out in full in our Privacy Policy, and include the right to know what personal information we hold about you, the right to have it corrected, the right to have it deleted, the right to receive a copy of it, and the right to appeal if we decline a request.
