What does "refurbished" mean for Sundown Audio gear?

A refurbished Sundown Audio subwoofer or amplifier is a unit that came back to Sundown as a return, open-box or warranty service item. It is inspected, repaired where needed, bench tested to factory spec and then cleared for resale. It is not B-stock, not a blem and not sold as-is.

What warranty do refurbished items carry?

Every refurbished item on this page is covered by a 90-day warranty from the date of delivery. If the unit fails in normal use within that window, contact us and we will repair or replace it. See our warranty page for the details.

Can I finance a refurbished subwoofer or amplifier?

No. Refurbished items are excluded from our financing and leasing programs because of their limited stock and lower price. They can be paid for with any card, PayPal or Shop Pay at checkout.

How much do I save versus new?

Refurbished pricing typically runs 20 to 40 percent under the new price for the same model, depending on the series. The savings are biggest on the higher-powered SALT and SAE v.4 amplifiers and the Z-Series and Nightshade subwoofers.

Are refurbished units cosmetically perfect?

Most refurbished units look new. Some may show light cosmetic marks from handling or prior installation that do not affect performance. Any unit with notable cosmetic wear is described as such on its product page.

Can I return a refurbished item?

Yes. Refurbished items follow our standard return policy. Keep the original packaging and contact us before shipping anything back.
