Mechman high output alternators · Authorized dealer
Saturn ended production in 2010, and its owners tend to be practical people who keep a good car running: an Ion as a commuter, an Outlook full of kids, a Relay minivan with screens and chargers. Each Saturn high output alternator here fits a 2002-2010 model, and the vehicle finder narrows it to your year and engine.
The Saturn Aura is listed for 2008-2009 cars with the 2.4L four-cylinder or 3.6L V6. The Outlook covers 2007-2010 with the 3.6L, and the Vue covers the 2002-2007 2.2L Ecotec and 2008-2009 2.4L. The Ion from 2003 to 2007 and the Relay minivan from 2005 to 2007 round out the list. Many of these engines were shared with Chevrolet, Pontiac and Buick models of the same era: the Outlook uses the same 3.6L as the Buick Enclave and GMC Acadia, and the Relay is a sibling of the Chevrolet Uplander and Buick Terraza.
These are often second- or third-owner cars, so a worn factory alternator is a common reason owners land here. If you are replacing a failing unit anyway, stepping up in output changes nothing about fitment and leaves room for an amplifier later.
A 240 Amp Saturn high output alternator is a sensible step for a commuter with an amplifier and subwoofer. 320 Amp suits a multi-amp system, or an Outlook running a fridge and inverter on camping trips. 370 Amp is listed for the Aura and Outlook and is aimed at larger audio builds. All units are natural-finish standard housings. Choose your year and engine in the vehicle finder first, since the Ion, Vue and Aura were offered with more than one engine.
Mechman high output alternators should be paired with an amp wiring kit sized for the new output and a healthy battery from our batteries. Plug adapters and regulators are in harnesses and regulators. Saturn units appear with other GM brands on all GM alternators, and you can compare every make on our alternators page.
