Mechman high output alternators · Authorized dealer
With its retro wagon shape and the Panel version built for business lettering, the HHR attracts both show-car builders and small-business owners. This Chevrolet HHR high output alternator collection lists two Mechman units, 240 Amp and 320 Amp, for 2006-2011 models with the 2.2L Ecotec or the naturally aspirated 2.4L.
HHR owners tend to fall into two camps. Some treat it as a rolling canvas, with custom paint, accent lighting and a cargo area built around subwoofer enclosures and amplifier racks. Others use the HHR Panel as a compact delivery vehicle fitted with a laptop mount, inverter, beacon lights or a refrigerated cooler. Both groups end up asking more from a small four-cylinder charging system than it was designed for, and a Chevrolet HHR high output alternator restores the margin.
The 240 Amp unit suits a single amplifier and subwoofer or a work setup with an inverter and lighting. The 320 Amp unit is the right step for a multi-amp show build or a work rig that runs equipment for long periods. Both are Mechman high output alternators from the GM Ecotec series shared with the Chevrolet Cobalt and Saturn Vue. Confirm your 2006-2011 model year and engine in the vehicle finder above the products. The turbocharged 2.0L is not part of this listing.
Show builds benefit from heavy cable in our amp wiring kits, and the rest of the lineup is on the Chevrolet alternators page.
