Audio Apex

Audio Apex is built around the CAB amplifier family: the CAB-22 monoblock rated at 2,200 watts RMS, the CAB-45v2 monoblock at 4,500 watts RMS and the CAB-M165 five-channel at 1,600 watts RMS. Each pairs with the CAB Remote Bass Knob Control.

Matching single and dual 10 and 12 inch enclosures, in standard and triple baffle versions, complete the lineup. Audio Apex is Car Audio Bargain's own line, shipped from Newton, North Carolina.

Choosing a CAB Amplifier

The three CAB models split by job. The CAB-22 suits one or two subwoofers in a build with a healthy charging system. The CAB-45v2 is aimed at larger builds running multiple high-power subwoofers, where battery and alternator upgrades are part of the plan. The CAB-M165 is the one-chassis answer for a complete system; a five-channel layout normally means four channels for speakers plus a fifth for a subwoofer.

Matching impedance and power

Before choosing, add up the RMS ratings of your subwoofers and work out the final impedance of how their voice coils will be wired. Monoblock output changes with load, so check the rating at your final impedance and the lowest load the amp supports. Each model's specifications are listed in Audio Apex Amplifiers.

Feeding a big monoblock

High-power amplifiers draw serious current. Plan for heavy power and ground runs such as 1/0 AWG power wire, a fuse near the battery sized to protect that wire, and battery or alternator upgrades if voltage sags under load. A voltmeter in view makes it easy to tell when the electrical system is falling behind the amplifier.

Enclosures Built to Match

The enclosure lineup covers Single 10, Single 12, Dual 10 and Dual 12 configurations. Each comes as a standard box or a triple baffle box, where the layered front panel adds rigidity around the subwoofer mounting area. That extra stiffness helps when the box is driven by a high-power amplifier like the CAB-45v2. Confirm your sub's mounting depth and recommended airspace against the box specs, and choose a size that fits your cargo area.

Completing an Audio Apex System

Add the CAB Remote Bass Knob Control so you can trim bass level from the driver's seat, then choose drivers from our subwoofers collection that match your CAB amplifier's power and impedance. A dual box with a CAB-22, or a pair of high-power subs in a triple baffle enclosure with a CAB-45v2, are both straightforward starting points.
