Mazda High Output Alternators

Mazda's B-Series pickups and the Navajo SUV were built alongside Ford's Ranger and Explorer, and plenty are still working as farm trucks, trail rigs and budget audio builds. Each Mazda high output alternator on this page fits a 1991-2006 B2500, B3000, B4000 or Navajo with the 2.5L, 3.0L or 4.0L engine.

Four trucks, one set of units

The same four alternators are listed for every Mazda model here. Check the B2500 for 1998-2001 with the 2.5L, the B3000 for 1994-2005 with the 3.0L, the B4000 for 1994-2006 with the 4.0L, or the Navajo for 1991-1994 with the 4.0L. Confirm your year and engine in the vehicle finder before choosing output. The B-Series shares its basic design with the Ford Ranger of the same years, and the Navajo with the two-door Explorer, so experience with those trucks carries over, but the vehicle finder is still the surest way to confirm fit for a Mazda badge.

240 to 400 Amp for an older truck

A 240 Amp Mazda high output alternator covers a light bar, a CB radio and a single amplifier. 320 Amp handles a multi-amp stereo or a winch. 370 and 400 Amp are aimed at competition audio or a truck carrying an inverter for tools at a job site. One unit uses a billet housing machined from solid aluminum, and finishes are black or natural. On a truck this age, check the ground straps and battery cables for corrosion before the new alternator goes in. Many owners land here because the original unit has worn out, and moving to more output at the same time means one install instead of two.

Mechman high output alternators reach their potential with a Big 3 wiring kit, a battery from our batteries and, if the plug or regulator differs, parts from harnesses and regulators. For units across every make, browse our alternator collection.
