A 400 Amp Audi high output alternator gives generous headroom for a multi-amplifier stereo, a track-day car with a data logger and extra cooling fans, or a daily driver that sits with accessories running. The billet aluminum housing is machined from solid stock, which keeps it rigid and helps it shed heat in a tight, hot engine bay. It also means the charging system is unlikely to become the limit if you add more equipment later.
