The Jeep Grand Cherokee alternator page holds most of the selection, running from 1993 to 2023 across the 4.0L six, the 3.6L and 3.7L V6, and V8 engines up to the 6.1L, 6.2L and 6.4L. Wrangler and Gladiator builds tend to stack accessories: a winch, a light bar, rock lights, an onboard compressor and a fridge. The Grand Cherokee is more often a tow vehicle or a long-distance overland platform, with a trailer brake controller, an auxiliary battery and camp lighting. Either way, the charging system has to refill the battery after the winch or fridge has been working at idle or with the engine off.
Start with the vehicle finder, since Jeep models are split by engine and generation, then choose output. A 240 Amp Jeep high output alternator handles a light bar, a radio and a modest stereo. 320 Amp gives headroom for a winch and an air compressor running together, or a Grand Cherokee towing a camper. 370 Amp is listed for select Grand Cherokee models, for heavy inverter loads or big audio. All Jeep units here are natural-finish standard housings.
