The second-generation Vibe wears a Pontiac badge but shares its engines with the Toyota Matrix, so its alternators come from Toyota-engine families. This Pontiac Vibe high output alternator collection lists four Mechman units for 2009-2010 models: 240 Amp and 320 Amp versions for the 1.8L, and 240 Amp and 320 Amp versions for the 2.4L.
Because the Vibe uses Toyota engines, its alternators have nothing in common with the GM four-cylinder units on other Pontiac pages. The 1.8L and the 2.4L also use different alternator families from each other. The Vibe's hatchback layout makes it a practical audio platform.
