Infiniti FX35 High Output Alternators

Infiniti's FX35 arrived in 2003 as a sport crossover before the term was common, and first- and second-generation examples are still daily drivers. This page lists the two Mechman 400 amp units for the 2003-2012 3.5L, one for each era, so you can match an Infiniti FX35 high output alternator to your car and keep it charging strong.

First Generation or Second?

The alternator split lines up with the generation change. 2003-2008 FX35s with the 3.5L V6 take one Mechman billet unit, and 2009-2012 FX35s take another. Both are rated at 400 amps. Enter your year and engine in the vehicle finder above to see the right one. The early unit is shared with the Infiniti G35 and Nissan 350Z, which use the same 3.5L displacement.

Keeping a Sport Crossover Charged

First-generation FX35 owners are often keeping a high-mileage car on the road, and a worn alternator is a common reason for a battery light or a no-start. Second-generation owners are more likely adding: a hatch subwoofer, a dash cam, LED lighting and a trailer hitch with a wiring harness for a bike rack or small trailer. In both cases, an Infiniti FX35 high output alternator solves today's problem and builds in reserve. Mechman high output alternators are designed for vehicles that work for a living. Check our alternator harnesses and regulators if the connector is brittle, and browse the full Infiniti range.
