F-150 coverage on this page spans a lot of change under the hood. Early 1987-1992 trucks with the 5.0L or 5.8L use one series. The 1993-1996 5.0L and 5.8L trucks and the 1997-2004 4.2L share another. The 2004-2011 4.6L and 5.4L, the 2005-2008 4.2L, the 2011-2020 5.0L, the 2011-2022 6.2L and the 2.7L, 3.5L and 3.7L V6 trucks from 2011 to 2020 each have their own listing.
Each year span and engine pairs with its own alternator series, so enter your truck in the vehicle finder at the top of the page before anything else. A 2011 F-150 with the 3.5L and a 2011 with the 5.0L do not take the same unit.
