240 amp high output alternator for select 4.6l/5.4l Ford

This 6 phase alternator makes excellent output at idle, and features a standard diameter pulley for improved belt grip. It also has an extremely efficient finned rectifier assembly with (16) diodes for outstanding durability. NOTE: This unit retains the factory PCM control of the alternator so that there is no "check battery light" or other problems with OEM equipment. This means that the alternator will have additional AMPERAGE capability to support increased electrical loads, but the starting voltage set point will still be dictated by the vehicle's engine computer.
