Mechman high output alternators · Authorized dealer
Ford owners cover every kind of build: Fox-body and Coyote Mustangs with electric fans and big stereos, Super Duty diesels running inverters on job sites, early-1990s Broncos set up for the trail. This page collects every Ford high output alternator we list for 1965-2026 vehicles, without Lincoln or Mercury mixed in. Choose your model or start with the vehicle finder.
The Ford F-150 alternator page runs from 1987 to 2026 and covers V8, V6 and EcoBoost engines, with the Raptor listed on its own page. Owners of the F-250 and F-350 with the 7.3L, 6.0L, 6.4L or 6.7L diesel, or the 6.2L and 7.3L gas engines, can start on the F-250 page or the F-350 page. Smaller trucks are covered through the Ranger from 1986 to 2005, plus the E-Series van, Explorer, Expedition and Excursion.
Performance owners can head to Mustang, Shelby and Cobra alternators, which cover pushrod 5.0L cars, the 4.6L and 5.4L engines and the 2011-2021 Coyote 5.0L. The 1990-1996 Ford Bronco with the 5.0L or 5.8L has its own page, as do the Thunderbird, Taurus, Crown Victoria and classic 1965-1985 Fords.
The vehicle finder sorts units by year and engine, which matters on Ford trucks because alternators often change with the engine option as well as the generation. Output for a Ford high output alternator runs 170, 240, 250, 290, 320, 370 or 400 Amp. Use 170 or 240 Amp for a single amplifier or a light bar, 250 to 320 Amp for multi-amp audio or a winch, and 370 or 400 Amp for diesel trucks with inverters, plows or upfitter loads. Billet housings, machined from solid aluminum, appear across the Mustang, Bronco, Ranger and F-150 pages, with black, chrome, machined, natural and polished finishes.
Mechman high output alternators perform as intended with a heavy wiring kit, a battery from our batteries and the right harness or regulator. Lincoln and Mercury owners will find their units on all Ford, Lincoln and Mercury alternators, and every make is on our alternator collection.
