The Bravada shared its 4.3L V6 with other GM trucks, so Mechman offers units for it. Many Bravadas live where the snow falls. Blower on high, rear defrost, headlights and wipers all run at once on a cold morning commute. Replace a tired factory stereo with an amplifier and a sub, and the load climbs further. An Oldsmobile Bravada high output alternator covers both jobs.
Mechman high output alternators for the Bravada are listed at 170, 240, 250, 320, 370 and 400 Amp. For a winter daily driver with extra lighting, 170 Amp is plenty of step up. A single amplifier and subwoofer in the 1,000 to 2,000 W range sits comfortably on 240 or 250 Amp. Choose 320 or 370 Amp for several amplifiers or for towing a small trailer with auxiliary lights. A 400 Amp unit is there for a full competition build, rare in a Bravada but available.
Billet housings are machined from solid aluminum, with finishes from Polished and Chrome to Gold. Standard cast housings look like the factory part.
