The QX70 carried the FX design forward under a new name in 2014, and its owners lean toward driving enthusiasm over cargo capacity. Typical additions are a sealed subwoofer and four-channel amplifier in the hatch, LED driving lights, and a dash cam wired for parking mode that draws power even when the car is off. Each one is modest on its own. Together they push a factory charging system hard, especially on short trips where the battery never fully recovers.
