This Infiniti Q70L high output alternator is the 400 amp Mechman unit listed for the 3.7L V6 long-wheelbase sedan, keeping rear-seat comfort and a premium sound system supplied at the same time.
Q70L owners split into two groups: executives who ride in back and livery operators who drive clients. Both end up adding a 120V inverter for laptops, rear USB-C charging, screen mounts on the headrests and sometimes a separate rear audio zone. Livery cars also idle for long stretches outside hotels and airports with the climate control running, which is exactly when a factory alternator struggles. A 400 amp Infiniti Q70L high output alternator holds voltage through that idle time, so the battery is not quietly drained between pickups.
