CTS-V owners, from the early 5.7L and 6.0L cars to the 2009-2015 6.2L, often add cooling fans and fuel system upgrades that draw steady current on top of any stereo work.
Once the vehicle finder has matched your year and engine, pick output for the load. 170 and 240 Amp cover a sedan with an aftermarket amplifier added to the factory system. 250 and 320 Amp suit an Escalade with a full component system or a rear entertainment setup. 370 and 400 Amp are for show and competition builds or trucks running heavy lighting. Billet housings machined from solid aluminum make up about half the Cadillac selection, and finishes include black, chrome, polished, gold, red, purple and more, so the alternator can match a detailed engine bay.
