    Cab m4 and 22

Posted by Ryan amen on 28th Dec 2021

Im going to b straight foward with 2 cons for both the cab 22 and m4...1st con is the quality control on heatsinks...they need to b deburred and checked for deformities such as bent fins and scratches...seems as if they slice a bunch up n jus toss em in a bin...both my amps came with theese defects...does it hurt the performance?...not a damn bit!!!.. 2nd con is just personal preference...phillips bit set screws...GET RID OF THEM!!.. THEY STRIP WAY TO EASY..i replaced all on my bass amp..phillips and tightening down 0 gauge is not a fun process together.. both theese cons can b fixed and addressed with little to no cost to keep prices the same...now that thats out of the way..very very very impressed on the power theese boards put out...they sound clean...even at full tilt...running 4 pro mids and tweets off the 4ch and the gains are barely cracked...and to stay sounding that clean when i have the channels loaded to 2 ohm...kuddos...as for the cab 22.... .5 ohm daily on a set of 15s for 3mnths now no probs...give em clean power and airflow n theese things will outperform other budget manufacture 2ks easily...even the ones that look like usamps reprints lolol (sry johnathan)...all in all def worth ur money if on a budget!...fix the 2 cons 5 stars all day n night long...cant wait 2 get another 22 n strap...easy 5k budget there...gud job audio apex...and stay in the game...we need more options such as you!

Great Build Quality & Budget Friendly

Posted by Shane Kemp on 28th Oct 2021

I purchased this to replace a Skar SK-M400.4D in my roommates vehicle. I really didn't know what to expect honestly as far as build quality goes. I have been following Audio Apex for a little while now and have been waiting for an appropriate excuse to give them a chance. I was mostly surprised with this amplifier. I did not anticipate all the gold plated connections. The heatsink is extremely thick which is a plus as I know class AB amplifiers tend to run warmer than class D. I always like to wiggle transformers and caps a bit to see how well they are seated. Most Chinese assembled amps you wind up with components that can wiggle a bit and that is not desirable. This amplifier board has a beautiful layout, perfect symmetry across the board and ALL components are seated very well, and the quality of the components used are above average. As far as sound quality goes, this amplifier did not leave anything to be desired. Each channel is powering a Deaf Bonce Machete MM-60 and a Deaf Bonce Machete MT-30. Overall I am pretty happy with the purchase, huge upgrade from what my roommate was running before. If you are looking for a budget gem I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this amplifier.
