This late model large case hairpin alternator is a great bolt-in upgrade for the early Powerstroke trucks. It features twin rectifiers, 12 huge press fit diodes, and premium bearings for outstanding durability, far beyond what the origional Ford alternator can provide. These units crank out 180+ amps at idle on Diesel applications, with a full 240+ amps at vehicle cruising speed!
