The blue surround is not just our branding color, it is an homage to woofers of the 1990s that used brightly colored surrounds as a signature look. The balance of the blue to the grey\/silver basket and cone harkens back to the early 2000s when some of our favorite woofer models sported a distinct style. The aluminum dust cap gives depth and texture to the woofer as a whole and adds rigid reinforcement to the cone body. The genesis of the design was the motor itself, the large vent for the four-inch coil caught our eye in car audio shops in the 1990s. Jacob Fuller captured that look while tapering the vent and adding a pole cap so as to not compromise modern cooling techniques for the best performance-to-aesthetics ratio possible. Topped off with the metal mesh over the magnet slugs, The Bass Blaster is the 90s\/2000s woofer we all wish we had in our teens, but even better that we have it in our
