The third version of our acclaimed E series is all new for 2016. Since we introduced the first E series in 2012 we have sought to push the limits of entry-level woofers forward. Typical entry level woofers are highly limited in terms of linear excursion, mechanical ruggedness, and thermal performance – all of these bars have been raised once again for our third generation E series.
A double stacked magnet structure and an extremely long voice coil allow us to achieve a class-leading linear x-max of 14mm one-way in addition to high mechanical clearances (over 2” peak-to-peak before physical coil bottom). The E v.3 series has been upgraded to a full 2.5” diameter coil compared to the 2” coil of previous generations. The tinsel leads have been upgraded to a new “Mini-XL” lead containing 63-strands of conductor (a full XL is 84-strands and previous leads contained 42-strands) to help prevent potential failure due to amplifier clipping. The spider itself is a high-strength poly-cotton blend designed to handle the full capacity of the motor. To provide an additional level of ruggedness the spider is bolted down and glued to the frame.
The new stamped steel frame is also significantly stronger than previous generation E series woofers & features an enhanced “Sundown style” high pressure vented spider landing. Working in conjunction with a motor ventilation system based on our SA series & the new, larger voice coil the third generation E series possesses thermal capacity unheard of in this class of subwoofer.
Bottom-line; if you are looking for a great subwoofer option and do not want to break the bank the Sundown E-Series woofers are for you & these are the best E series made to date. They are ideal for anyone from beginners to seasoned professionals seeking industry leading performance at a value price point.

running on kicker cxa 1200.1 probably ran more power into it than I should of, the bass is really good but when I get close to the woofer I hear this buzzing/hissisng sound like a snare dont know if its partially blow or what ut probably my fault anyways

plenty of boom for the buck
This sub hits hard! I’m running in on 600rms and it will give you goosebumps. Great sq as well. Won’t win any sound competitions but it’s more than enough for a daily driver.

Amazing subs!
I purchased two of these for an intro to Sundown and I’m telling you these are amazing! For this priced subs I’m totally blown away! :) Box I key but either way I’m throwing 1200W tinned at 34hz and dang they are loud! Lol.
